A form of Hatha Yoga that facilitates inner awareness and peace.
About the teacher: Connie is a retired Health and Physical Education Teacher and has taught yoga for teachers through the Neshaminy School District’s wellness program as well as at the Quaker Meeting House. She has a passion for Peace and Earth Healing. She also presents workshops to reconnect people to nature and creates labyrinths (visit: yournatureconnection.com). She recently completed Integrative Therapeutic Yoga training. Her knowledge of body mechanics and passion for promoting Peace are evident in her teaching techniques. Connie’s students describe her as a "kind and supportive guide with an ability to make instructions clear and understandable."
About the Meeting House: The structure is over 200 years old, well seasoned with silent meditation and prayer. Being a sacred and historical place at the same time creates a special energy within its walls. Connie is a member of the Meeting and the membership has graciously granted use of the Meeting Room for the classes as "Yoga for Peace" supports Quaker beliefs about non-violence.
