Connie
Fenty has presented workshops locally, nationally, and internationally. In designing her workshops, she calls upon her
experience as a teacher of Holistic Health and Movement for 37 years in the
Neshaminy School District as well as the wisdom of those she has studied
with:Joanna Macy, Angeles Arrien,
John Seed, Deva Parnell, Joseph LePage, Marshall Rosenberger, Jean Houston,
Anodea Judith and many others.
Workshop
offerings all contain elements of experiential activities, meditation,
discussion, community building, information on selected subject matter, and creation
of sacred space for ceremony.One
of Connie's strengths in designing workshops is her ability to combine material
and activities that focus on a theme.
Awakening Your Nature Connection
By taking in daily doses of
nature-connection, we can begin to heal the effectsof our hectic and sometimes lonely
lifestyles. Through reawakening to
nature, we are
nourished and then in turn can seek ways to nourish our planet. This workshop acknowledges the
importance of taking time and creating the space in our adult lives to
experience the wonders of nature in a truly connected manner as well as
offering ways to put these concepts into practice. This workshop can also be
presented as "Self -Naturing" for use in rejuvenation retreats.(1- 2 hours)

Walking the Labyrinth
Learn all about the labyrinth, a recently
rediscovered meditative walking path providing us with space in which to simply
slow down and reflect. The labyrinth pattern is ancient with mysterious
origins.
Connie will present information about the
labyrinth's history, various labyrinth patterns, and benefits of labyrinth
walking. We will create our own labyrinth drawings and experience a
walking meditation.Find out how
walking the labyrinth can range from being healing and profound to being joyful
and relaxing and why each walk is different.
Schedule your own workshop or join Connie and
friends at Soulutions for Daily Living
in Newtown, PA to walk the heart-shaped labyrinth under the light of the full
moon. (2 - 6 hours)
If you yearn for a Peaceable
Kingdom in which All Beings live together in health and harmony, this is a
must-do activity for you. The Council is a powerful community gathering that
will help us explore the depths of our love and concern for our planet. Created
by Joanna Macy, peace activist and John Seed, rainforest activist, Councils now
take place throughout the world. The day's events including: experiential
exercises, visualizations, mask-making, quiet nature contemplation, and playful
movement will guide us in awakening the deep ecological awareness and knowledge
within us. This is a full day workshop perfect for an Earth Day
Celebration.
Connie has recently combined her
Council Workshops with her portable rope labyrinth to present "Walking with
Animal Spirits". Participants select a pre-crafted mask and walk with it
on the labyrinth to "hear" the wisdom of their chosen
animal. As we sit in circle, we each bring a message to the group
from our animal ally. (2 hours).
Be Hope for the Planet
You can contribute to the healing of Planet
Earth, our source of life and health, through a 12 step approach to becoming
committed to personal and planetary healing. During this workshop, you will clarify your
ecological philosophy, view videotaped interviews with real people like us and
featuring the ways in which they participate in living sustainably, discuss
earth-based spirituality, compose a personal code of environmental ethics,
design Earth healing affirmations, and learn of resources available to assist
you in your quest to live more lightly on the Earth.(Full day or a five session series).

The Legend of the Iroquois
Peacemaker
Using
material from Jean Houston's Manual for the Peacemaker, Connie invites us to participate in a legend about a bringer of peace, a
creator of community, a changer ofhis world. It is one of the
richest stories to come out of North America. It tells of Deganawidah, the Man from the North, celebrated
even today as the Peacemaker, and his successful campaign to create a peaceful
and prosperous society, where previously there had been only long years of
violence and intertribal warfare. So potent is this legend, so full of wonder, that it embodies the essence
of myth, yet many of its elements are acknowledged as historical truths. For Deganawidah actually lived and
worked in ways both mythical and practical. His allies included Jigonhsasee, remembered as the Mother of
Nations, and the great orator Hiawatha.Together they created a peaceful democracy among five tribes of Native
peoples in the northeastern woodlands, a true democracy that lasted hundreds of
years and is still, to a remarkable extent, in force today.(Full Day, Weekend Retreat, or 8
evening sessions)
